Established in 1976 and listed on the Bursa Malaysia Main Market since 1996, AMWAY Malaysia is a leading direct selling company in Malaysia with a core force of more than 239,000 ABOs and a recorded revenue of RM1.02 billion for the fiscal year ended 31 December 2015. In 2010, AMWAY Malaysia was awarded a 10-year direct selling licence by the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism (MDTCC). 

Over its 40 years in Malaysia, the company has been offering a wide range of meaningfully differentiated quality products under its five core product lines: Nutrition and Wellness (NUTRILITE vitamin, mineral and dietary supplements), Skin Care and Cosmetics (ARTISTRY skincare and colour cosmetics), Personal Care (GLISTER oral care, BODY SERIES body care and SATINIQUE hair care), Home Care (L.O.C. household cleaning products, SA8 laundry care), and Home Tech (eSpring water treatment system, ATMOSPHERE air treatment system). In addition, the company’s Personal Shoppers Catalogue offers locally-sourced consumer products.

A journey from 1976 to 2016, and beyond.

Ever since its inception in 1976, AMWAY Malaysia has always had one aim in mind: to help Malaysians live better lives. As the company grew and continues to grow, its AMWAY Business Owners (ABOs) have also grown. Together, the company has stood the test of time, overcoming challenges and reaching great heights to arrive at where they are today – at the pinnacle of success. This is a snapshot of that journey.

 

1976 – 1978

Beginning of operations at Jalan Ipoh, with five employees.

SA8 Laundry Compound, L.O.C. High Suds Cleaner and AMWAY QUEEN Cookware become our best-sellers.

   

1979 – 1980

First Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) in Butterworth.

First NUTRILITE product, Family Pack, launched.

   

1981 – 1984

ARTISTRY Skin Care Systems and NUTRILITE products Protein, Natural B Complex, Bio C, Lecithin E and ACTIVE 8 launched.

   

1985 – 1986

10th anniversary.

RM500,000 contribution towards the construction of the Tunas Harapan Homes in Kuala Selangor.

AMWAY Queen Cookware Cookbook published.

   

1987-1988

First locally-manufactured product, ALLANO Family Talcum Powder.

ARTISTRY Treasure Collection and Colour Collection ‘Shades of Australia’ launched.

   

1989-1990

NUTRILITE Health and Fitness Fair.

Introduction of AMSURE Personal Accident Plan and Personal Shoppers Catalogue.

   

1991-1992

‘Big on Quality’, AMWAY Malaysia’s biggest contest to celebrate its 15th anniversary.

Water Treatment System launched.

   

1993-1995

New packaging of NUTRILITE Personal Care and ARTISTRY products.

   

1996-1997

AMWAY Malaysia acquires AMWAY Brunei.

Listed on the Main Board of the KLSE.

A 3-year Direct Selling Licence awarded.

First NUTRILITE herbal product (NUTRILITE Garlic and Licorice) launched.

   

1998-2001

AMWAY2u.com goes online, enabling online transactions 24/7.

AMWAY ATS (Air Treatment System) launched.

   

2002-2005

One by One, a campaign to help children in need, is launched.

AMWAY Malaysia is ranked amongst the Top 10 Overall Best-Managed Malaysian companies by AsiaMoney.

NUTRILITE and AMWAY WTS receive Reader’s Digest Superbrands Award.

30th anniversary.

Pick-and-Pay introduced at AMWAY shops.

BrandLaureate Award 2006-2007 for best direct selling brand.
